10 Different Occasions to use Send Hugs

Jul 1, 2020 11:57:00 AM / by Emily Sonderegger

During this time of social distancing, we aren’t always able to celebrate important days with our friends and family. Because of this, Tukios released Send Hugs as a way to bring us closer together during this difficult time. Here are 10 ways you can use it to celebrate your loved ones.

1. Funeral Condolences

Send Hugs was initially made to be able to send condolences, memories, and well-wishes to the family members of a loved one who has passed away. It’s a wonderful way for people to be able to express how they feel if they aren’t able to attend a funeral in person.

2. Birthday Wishes

If you want to plan a meaningful (and super easy) surprise for a friend or family member, setting up a SendHugs link will let everyone wish them a Happy Birthday. Have everyone contributing to the hug share their favorite memory or an invitation for an in person celebration once they are able to get together again.

3. Graduation Congratulations

With many graduation ceremonies getting cancelled, an easy way to show your favorite graduate that you love them and to wish them well after school is to send up a Send Hugs link for family, classmates, and friends to contribute to.

4. Wedding Congratulations

Weddings all over the world have been postponed or downsized to fit within local guidelines. In the age of live streamed weddings, why not send a digital congratulations as well? Now everyone can participate in the celebration even if they can’t physically be there.

5. Retirement

Retirement is an important milestone in a person’s life, so send your favorite retiree out with a video full of well-wishes and memories that they can look back on to remember their time in the workplace.

9. National Grandparents Day

A wonderful and easy gift to organize from all the grandkids is a Send Hugs video. Have the kids sing their favorite song or show their favorite book that they like to read with their grandparents.

10. International Day of Friendship

Friendships are one of the greatest joys in life. If you have a close knit group of friends, have a hug link set up for everyone to send a video to. Then every friend in the group can contribute to all of the Hugs. It’s a fun way to keep everyone connected and to have memories to look back on and cherish.
